So recently I was lucky enough to expand my podcast knowledge by being a guest on another podcast! This podcast is one that I recently discovered as part of a larger network, known as the Archaeology Podcast Network.
The podcast is called the Archaeotech Podcast and is hosted by Chris Webster and Chris Sims (contact details in the bottom of the post).
The podcast came about as Chris Webster and I were talking and I mentioned my Surface Pro 3 that I was using. We then agreed that we should do a podcast on the applicability of the Surface Pro 3/4 as a tool for archaeology fieldwork! If you want to listen to the podcast you can listen to it here.
It was an amazing experience being on the podcast. Chris and Chris were amazingly friendly and we had some great fun. I hope that this is not the last time that I get the chance to chat to these guys.
Also, if you’re interested, Chris Webster did a talk at the NAA about the possibility of a digital future within fieldwork. I will admit that as a windows man, I am very tempted to switch, the processes he discusses are definitely the future of archaeology. You can listen to it here.
Also, if you enjoyed those podcasts, why not head over to the Archaeology Podcast Network and listen to their other shows! They offer a wide variety of podcasts from Women in Archaeology to the CRM Archaeology Podcast, which discusses the problems in archaeology and how to solve them.
